Cuda Alternatives?

We really have no idea when the next gen Barracuda is coming out, so we may have to look elsewhere later on. I'm thinking of the new Dodge 2018 Challenger and that very appealing 707-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat V-8 engine.

What about everyone else?

Don't know if you've seen the Hennessey Exorcist ZL1 Camaro, but that thing is a beast. It achieved a record 217 MPH top speed with its 1000hp engine. Although this is a one off, the new ZL1 Camaros do 0-60 in just 3.5 seconds. They have a similar 650hp supercharged 6.2L V8.

Didn't think to look elsewhere like the Chevy Camaro. That supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 do have some nice numbers and I'm surprised both hp and toque output is 650. Perhaps there's more to an alternative than pure ponies because the Magnetic Ride Control system does look very appealing.

Should also keep on eye on the new Shelby GT500. It's rumored to be setting its sights directly on the Hellcat and ZL1 Camaro with its +700hp engine. At the moment people are speculating that its going to have a twin-turbocharged Coyote 5.0-liter V-8 under the hood. Its also going to be the first GT500 to have a factory independent rear suspension.
