It's been an on again off again affair when it comes to the 'Cuda. Rumors have been swirling since at least 2012 that the Barracuda name would come back.
For a while it seemed the rumors had finally been put to be. That was until FCA's 2015 Dealer show in Nevada where word came that top brass had shown off a Barracuda concept. Reports said that it resembled the 1999 Dodge Charger concept, but that it was smaller then the current Challenger, closer in size to the current Mustang and Camaro.
it's likely the 'Cuda will use a Twin-Turbo V6 as its top powerplant, the TT V6 is likely the same one being used for the Alfa Romeo Giulia QV.
It's got more power then the HEMI, but will enthusiasts take to a 'Cuda sans HEMI?
Where I get tripped up is the name. How can it be a 'Cuda if its not a Plymouth? I'm not the only one either, enthusiasts have made quite a fuss about Barracuda appearing on a Dodge and not really looking like the 'Cuda of yore.
So who know's whats happening, for all we know the Barracuda concept could be a preview of the next gen Challenger, which we all know could use a bit of a diet...
