Please come back

My dad had Dodge Barracuda long time ago, unfortunately, I was too young at that time and didn't have a chance to drive it. He had for almost 15 years and sold it in yearly 90's. So I decided that I have to follow my dad's path and buy one for myself if there is going to be a new model. Seems like I will finally achieve my goal soon.

Cheers.

Shame your dad didn't keep the old one because they're worth so much now and getting your hands on a classic can cost an arm and a leg. Hopefully Dodge brings back the Cuda, though they may have to wait and see if there's enough interest in it.

What are you hoping to see in the new Cuda?

I don't know how to exactly explain it, but I'd love to see the same temper and aggression of this car. Hope they will leave some classic shapes of Barracuda and won't make it narrower, cause that what I like the most in Barracuda!

Well it has been a long time since we seen anything from FCA wearing the barracuda name so odds are by time this comes to market it will ride on a more agile platform. Have you at least been in the new Challengers? I really can't imagine the upcoming cuda being far off from it.

Yes, I had a chance to drive 2013 Dodge Challenger. I just figured out that the current Challenger and Barracuda have almost the same width (75.7 in and 74.9 in). Why does Barracuda look so wide then? Because of its huge hood?

If you're talking about the Cuda renderings, they look wider because of the beefy wheel arches that juts out. I don't believe the 2013 Dodge Challenger. has anything like that.

Those being renderings you should also take them with a grain of salt because for all we know when it comes to market it could look at big as it does in those renderings but at the same time sit on a smaller platform, thus being smaller in proportion to the challenger.
