2017 Barracuda Engine Options

When it comes to engine options, what are you hoping the all-new Barracuda comes equipped with from FCA's current and future offerings?

Keep in mind what it has to compete with as that will help get into the mindset of what's required of it within the segment

I'm actually thinking there will be a 4 cylinder option on the list. Considering the Mustang has the 2.3L EcoBoost, the Camaro now has a 2.0L turbo engine as well. I think it'll make sense for the Cuda to come with a 4 cylinder option for those that want the show but not the go, although it is possible to squeeze quite a bit of power out of them.

There will especially since these days its common to see forced induction 4 cylinders pushing high 200 to 300hp, which for the cuda is more than enough for it to stay relevant.

That being said, it'll need to come with a serious 4 cylinder, as well as a massively hungry V8. It needs to appeal to both ends of the market. Maybe a resurrection of a new V10 ?

Found some info on digestcars.com and they say that they could be offering some sort of 3.8L twin-turbo v8 that produces 500hp and 500lb-ft of torque
